The Massachusetts Lafayette Society and the AFL Present:

"America's First Ally: France in the Revolutionary War"

On Massachusetts Lafayette Day, May 20, 2021 at 5:00pm, the Massachusetts Lafayette Society and the American Friends of Lafayette will present a lecture by Norman Desmarais, professor emeritus at Providence College.

The talk, entitled "America's First Ally: France in the Revolutionary War," the title of his 2019 publication, will focus on chapter one, which covers French covert aid to the insurgents before France officially went to war against Britain.
